About us

Boris  started to sail in Belgium in 2007 and continued later on his father's 27ft sailing boat called Lanzarote, a nice wooden "Van de Stadt" plan built in 1972 in former Czechoslovakia. Later on he continued sailing with friends on chartered boats in Croatia, Italy and Spain until he decided, in 2016, to buy his own sailing boat. He is a holder of Belgian "Brevet de Yachtman" (2010) skipper's license,  GMDSS-SRC, RYA Sea Survival, First Aid CPR & AED and Advanced PADI deep/nitrox scuba diving certificates. He graduated in international relations and geopolitics and currently works in Brussels (Belgium) as Head of Protocol in one of the European Union's institutions. He is fluent in Slovak, French and English.

Jan started to sail in 2016, but fell in love rather quickly with his role of first mate and after two Months spent on board in 2018 he is now a fully competent crew member.  He graduated in journalism and international relations. He used to work as communication adviser to the the Slovak Public Defender of Rights (Ombudsman). In 2018 he moved to Brussels and continues his career in the European Commission. He speaks Slovak and English.
